How Aussie who couldn’t work due to ‘botched boob’ earned $35k in a month

A woman who hasn’t been able to work for six months due to her breast augmentation has revealed how she’s been able to survive financially.

A mother was forced to live off just a month’s salary after she was unable to work for six months after having a boob job.

Micki Daniels has worked in the sex industry for a decade, predominantly as an escort and on an adult subscription service.

However, after breastfeeding her daughter Ms Daniels decided she wanted to get cosmetic surgery on her breasts in order to boost her self confidence.

“I was a natural E cup, which is obviously quite big, and they were natural,” Ms Daniels told news.com.au.

“I’d always had quite big breasts, and when I breastfed, obviously my daughter decided to drain the life out of them and I was left with quite a deflated E cup. So I would wear an E cup, but my boobs wouldn’t fill it.

“It didn’t look nice. I didn’t feel nice about it.”

However, the surgery didn’t go to plan and resulted in a capsular contracture which is when the scar tissue around the implant becomes too hard and causes pain and aesthetic issues.

She had a second surgery but the breast sits lower than her other and the nipple “points at the sky” so she needs yet another procedure after spending $25,000.

Ms Daniels hasn’t been able to work due to the appearance of her chest, which she said has settled a bit since the second procedure, as both her streams of income are based on her appearance

Typically, her work is split between escorting and OnlyFans. Ms Daniels said her escort advertisement is running constantly and so when a booking comes in she needs to schedule that. Her adult subscription service side also takes up a lot of time as she needs to be accessible for client messages, make custom content and video calls.

Her escort work usually brings in about $40,000 a month while her other work makes her about $30,000.

She had only been able to work for four weeks, so she lived off of that and what was coming in from her adult subscription service’s old content that was still selling to the tune of $35,000 a month.

“I still made a decent amount of money through that but obviously when you don’t have the income coming in that you’re used to, bills pile up, rent and you need to keep the lifestyle going.” she said.

She said everyday expenses, plus money for her daughter and the money she spent on her surgeries quickly started to take its toll but did acknowledge for most people $35,000 a month was a lot of money.

Ms Daniels said she was incredible grateful the old content kept her afloat — otherwise she doesn’t know what she would have done.

Ms Daniels said three weeks ago she had a “mental breakdown” due to the mental impact of repeated medical treatments and self confidence.

She’d begun to have intrusive thoughts about her body and her appearance.

“My income and my life rely so, so heavily on my physical appearance. I don’t define myself by my job, but that’s my income,” she said.

“I need to look the part. I don’t need to look perfect, but I need to look how I want to look for me to be able to show up how I want to show up. It was so hard to do that for a long time throughout this whole thing.”

Now that Ms Daniels is slowly back working, she is very blunt with her clients about her current situation, but they have been nothing but supportive. However, she knows her work will be short-lived once again due to her third upcoming procedure.
