A mum has inadvertently cleared out shelves at the discount store after revealing one of its popular products doubles up as something else.

One of Kmart’s most popular items has “sold out” after it was revealed the product doubles up as a cat bed – sparking a mad rush among shoppers.
The “Boucle Cream Flip Out Sofa”, which is currently on sale for $19 – down from $39, is a small white chair designed for children.
However, imaginative TikTok user @lifeofemily94 recently revealed the comfy chair for small humans is actually the perfect size for her cat Luna, sharing a video of the black cat lounging on the miniature piece of furniture.
“This is your sign to get the Kmart Boucle Cream Flip Out Sofa for your cat,” she captioned the video.
While Emily said she purchased the sofa for when her baby is older, her cat Luna had quickly decided the sofa was too good for humans, and taken ownership.
“She’s literally obsessed,” Emily captioned her video, which has racked up over 126,000 views in less than a week.
The adorable video shows Luna lounging on the sofa playing with a bright yellow chicken toy and even laying down on the Kmart find to watch television.
Pet-loving social media users immediately fell over themselves to get their hands on the sofa, which has since sold out online, but is still available in some stores.
“Just got one and he loves it,” one social media user commented on the clip.
Another said: “My partner and I saw these and joked about getting them for our cats, glad we weren’t the only ones.”
“Sold out online. I’ll have to hunt! I have the big chair and my girl loves it,” one social media user commiserated.
“Influenced. I just went and bought one,” another said.
“We had one like this for my nephews,” one said.
“Now they are older my dad has it on his bed for his cat. You know, the cat he didn’t want.”
