Kmart selling $99 version of white boucle chair
Kmart has launched a budget version of the cult home item – with customers warned to buy it “straight away, otherwise you might miss out”.

If there was such a thing as an ‘it chair’, this would be the one.
Boucle armchairs have been all over Instagram and Pinterest for the past few months, with furniture stores like Lounge Lovers and Freedom selling them for upwards of $500.
It’s why fans of the cult furniture were understandably excited to find out Kmart had launched their own boucle chair at a fraction of the cost of other versions.
Kmart’s Sundae Boucle Chair hit stores earlier this month, with the $99 item already causing a frenzy among shoppers.
@kmarthackqueen told her 170,000 Instagram followers to get in quick if they wanted to get the chair, predicting it would sell out quickly.
“If you see this beauty and want it, get it straight away, otherwise you might miss out,” she warned in an Instagram post.
“I think they might be very popular.”
Others agreed, labelling the chair’s $99 price tag a “bargain”.
“Love this, no doubt they’ll sell fast!” one shopper commented.
“These will fly out for sure! So tempted even though I don’t have a spot for it,” one person also said.
One shopper who had managed to pick up the chair last week shared a photo of it in her living room in the Kmart Inspired Homes Facebook group.
“Absolutely love it for this space,” she captioned the post.
People were quick to praise the chair, with one person writing: “So beautiful, simple, and elegant, don’t have to pay a motza for good style.”
“New at Kmart for $99! I’m obsessed and had to stop myself from buying two,” another customer shared in the Kmart Hacks & Decor Facebook group.
However, not everyone was in love with the minimalist chair style – with some shoppers making unflattering comparisons.
“I thought it was a toilet," one person wrote.
“I thought it was a toddler booster seat! Mildly disappointed but still looks good,” another commented.
