A PET parrot has ratted on his owner after police stopped the man at a routine checkpoint in Mexico last week.
Officers were left baffled after a voice echoed "he's drunk, he's drunk" from the back of the vehicle, only to find it was said bird, according to Spanish paper El Universal.
A sobriety test confirmed what the pet parrot already knew, the man, aka 49-year-old Guillermo Reyes, was drunk. He was arrested and charged for drink driving.
Unfortunately, not good news for the bird, who is currently serving time. The bird suffers from separation anxiety, ironically.
Kind of cute when you think about it. Right?
