Brisbane’s celebrity-favourite restaurant has revealed a heartfelt bid to give back to their favourite customers throughout the month of love, with half price bills.
Taking to his Instagram page on Monday, restaurateur and owner of Hellenika, Simon Gloftis, said he wanted to share the love with fellow hospitality workers throughout February.
“This Feb I want to show some love to our amazing crazy industry. For the month of February I’ve decide to take 50 per cent off your whole bill @hellenika,” Gloftis wrote.
From the humble avgolemono soupa, a classic Greek chicken soup, to the divine King George whiting, to the premium banquet, Gloftis and his team have set a mission to acknowledge the hard work of those who spend their time feeding and hosting others.
Don’t be fooled into thinking it will be an easy system to trick though, with Gloftis clarifying that industry workers would need to show a ‘verified pay slip and ID’ to receive the discount and could only dine for dinner from Monday through Thursday.
“Also you are welcome to bring along one non-industry guest per person and still receive the same amazing discount,” Gloftis said.
“Bookings are pretty much a necessity but not a deal breaker.”
Gloftis urged workers to enjoy and signed out with a energetic “we love hospitality”
Hellenika, at the Calile Hotel has been a firm favourite for megastars visiting the Sunshine State, with everyone from George and Amal Clooney, to Matt Damon and Julia Roberts spotted feasting up a storm.
It's clear that despite the high-profile clientele the St Albans hospitality group team value the everyday people just as much.
