Aldi shoppers have discovered something “so delectable” they can’t stop raving about it.

One fan described it as something “everybody needs in their life” – and if you happen to be a cheese fan, well, you will likely become obsessed too.

It’s the fancy, yet affordable Unicorn Cheese Dip Double Brie With Black Truffle that’s made in Shoalhaven using 98 per cent Aussie ingredients.

“OMG @Aldiaustralia you’ve done it again! Don’t walk, RUN!!!” one woman posted on Instagram.

While some Aldi shoppers had no idea about the $4 item, they were keen to give it a go.

“No stop I did not see that omg,” one person commented.

“No no no I’m going to Aldi after the beach today,” said another.

An Aldi spokesperson told news.com.au the brand new double brie dip hit shelves last September.

“It has an incredibly smooth texture and rich flavour profile, perfect for dipping or spreading on your choice of bread, crackers or vegetables on a grazing platter,” the spokesperson said.

“It is also available in Camembert and Quince flavour and is priced at just $3.99, delivering brilliant value.”

It appears Woolies also stock the product but according to their website it’s “temporarily unavailable”.

The item is currently a limited edition product in Aldi, meaning it is available while stocks last.

But there’s more good news for cheese lovers with the German supermarket having recently announced its “Cheese Passport".

The supermarket has added a range of high-quality cheeses from around the world, including Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands and England.

Some of these cheeses include Blue Stilton, 24 months aged Gouda and mascarpone cheese.

And with picnics now high on the agenda, it comes at the perfect time.

“I couldn’t think of anything better than placing quality cheese at the centre of an entertaining platter or picnic feast to enjoy with friends or family this summer,” Shane Aitken, buying director at Aldi Australia said.

“While the borders might be opening up, most of us probably won’t be jumping on a plane to Europe this Summer, so at least our cheese and entertaining range can bring some of the best flavours from abroad right to your own backyard.”

Aldi predicts the premium range of cheese will “fly off the shelves”.
