Reality star’s skimpy $45 dress angers fans

A reality star who recently collaborated with a major retailer has annoyed a fan who purchased a dress that appears different to online photos.

Shopper's shock after ordering star's dress

Pretty Little Thing has attracted millions of happy customers over the years.

But one shopper was left scratching her head after receiving a garment that wasn’t exactly what she was expecting.

The woman, who goes by the name of ‘Timotheapagenash’ on TikTok, was excited for the brand’s most recent collaboration with UK Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague, that she ordered a new bodycon dress on sale for $45, The Sun reports.

The purple metallic dress featured a daring cutout which enhanced the figure, as seen in photos on the retailer’s website.

But when it arrived in the post, the customer was shocked to discover what could not have been further from her expectations.

Although the item was similar in colour, it looked nothing like what she had seen on the website.

In a TikTok, which has been viewed more than 22,000 times, the confused customer tagged the Love Island star asking, “Molly-Mae Hague what is this please?”

Although someone insisted it’s because she wasn’t all “done up”, viewers were on Timothea’s side, saying the dress looked “way too long”.

“Omg that is a completely different thing,” one baffled viewer wrote.

Others said the dress had a “genie” feel, like this TikTokker who said: “It’s giving Aladdin’s aunty vibes.

“That’s what you get for fast fashion.”

“Plt is actually so bad sometimes,” another viewer added.

Another shopper also tagged the reality star joking that she wanted an apology after ordering a PLT jumper that didn’t look like what was advertised.

It’s not the first time a customer has been left stunned with their Pretty Little Thing order.

A mum who snapped up a one-piece claims her teenage sons would “disown her” if she wore it.

In a series of hilarious snaps, Lindsey Smith, from the UK, showed how she discovered the skin-tight outfit exposed her bare boobs.

She ordered the $30 size 10 grey onesie as a treat to snuggle up in the front of the TV with her family, but she was left in shock when she ripped open the packaging and tried it on.

“I literally couldn’t do one button up and I was all hanging out,” she said.

“It’s not great when you live in a house with four men – my husband and three sons.

“It was so disappointing but I did laugh too as you’ve got to find the funny side.”

After contacting PLT, Lindsey received a full refund.

“I messaged PLT on Facebook and complained about it. I don’t usually complain but I thought that I had to this time,” she said.

“They were really understanding and professional and sorted out a refund straight away.”
