Coloured denims have been a hit on the world’s catwalks — alongside other new denim trends including animal prints, embroidery and embellishments.

Aussie label OneTeaspoon is embracing colour with a range of bright denims and matching knits.

“People are starting to discover colour again and I feel like, especially with social media, they want to get colour into their shots,” OneTeaspoon founder and creator Jamie Blakey told The Daily Telegraph.

“I think we are sick of wearing plains and once you start wearing colour, it feels a bit fun.”

“We have to be aware of what other people are doing so we try to complement trends — rather than do what everybody else does at any one time,” she explained.

“Otherwise we will look a bit crazy.”

Coloured, chunky knitted jumpers, including hot pink, are also part of the OneTeaspoon collection.

“With colour, it does stick around for a while because people enjoy wearing it and it makes you feel happy,” Blakey said.
