Boyfriend labelled ‘an absolute gentleman’ for late-night Sydney act

When this uni student’s girlfriend was struggling after a night out, he did what most guys would never do – and he’s blown women away.

Boyfriend's 'wild' act exposes every other man

A man who stepped up and wore his girlfriend’s high heels when she was in agony has gone viral with many arguing his selfless act made him the “epitome of a true gent”.

Colin Deschamps, 20, has single-handedly exposed all other men after he was recorded wearing a pair of black heels while walking home on Valentines Day with his girlfriend, Jess Fox.

The clip, which has been viewed 9 million times, shows the loved-up couple walking down a street in each other’s shoes after a night out.

There’s also text written across it that reads, “an absolute gentleman spotted in Sydney last night”.

Now Ms Fox, also 20, has revealed what happened before the video was filmed, telling news.com.au her boyfriend’s quick-thinking had saved her feet.

Sydney man switches into partner's heels to save her sore feet

“We had been out for dinner and had got drinks before, so there was a lot of walking,” the US exchange student, who is currently living in Sydney, explained.

“But I never wear heels, so after dinner I was complaining that my feet were hurting really bad, so Colin said, ‘we can just switch shoes’ because we both share the same shoe size.”

Without hesitating, he handed over his white sneakers and slipped into his other-half’s black shoes that featured a 4cm heel.

As the pair strolled back to their university accommodation in the city, which Ms Fox said was about a 20-minute walk from the Italian restaurant where they’d eaten, neither had any idea someone had witnessed the “adorable” moment.

“I was impressed with his ability to walk in my shoes, I was like, ‘wow, you’re doing so good’,” she said.

“So I shared a video for my own TikTok which didn’t get a lot of views which is fine because I posted it for our friends and family back home.

“But a few days later my friend texted me and she said, ‘Colin’s blowing up on another girl’s account’, and then everyone started sending me the video.

“We were like, ‘Oh my God this is so funny’ because we didn’t know anyone was filming us.”

The comments on @anna.isabele’s video agreed with her sentiment, with many stating Colin was the “epitome of a true gent”. But others couldn’t get past how well he walked in the heels.

“He was walking so naturally I didn’t notice at first,” said one.

“OMG I thought this was sarcasm because he wasn’t holding her hand until I saw the shoes. “Legend,” agreed another.

As one woman admitted: “Bro walks in heels better than me.”

Ms Fox however has set the record straight, stating “it was a first” for the couple of 2 years.

“It’s so funny everyone was like, ‘oh he had to have done this before’, but nope – I’ve never really worn heels,” she told news.com.au.

“He’s an amazing boyfriend and I’m happy he’s getting the recognition he deserves. He’s honestly the best.”

Others pointed out Colin was exposing other men who wouldn’t do this for their girlfriends or wives.

“A lot of guys wouldn’t do this for fear of being emasculated but this is one of the manliest things you can do,” shared one.

“My husband would never do this for me,” another revealed.

As one declared: “Now this is a man, strutting with confidence as he should.”

“A king in action showing them how it’s done,” stated another.

Ms Fox, who said she only wears heels on a “special occasion”, said she loved that Colin wasn’t afraid to break the mould.

“I know a lot of men would be afraid to wear women’s heels, but I loved it. It’s not ‘girlie’ at all,” she concluded.
