Bindi Irwin has shared a series of sweet family snaps to celebrate her 24th birthday, revealing the past year had been filled with “enormous growth, unpredictable/challenging times” and love beyond her “wildest dreams”.
The photos of Bindi, husband Chandler Powell, daughter Grace, brother Robert and mum Terri enjoying a picnic and cake, revealed a new look for the wildlife warrior, who had cut her signature long locks into an above-the-shoulder bob.
“I’m grateful for another trip around the sun and another year to do the best making a difference in this world,” she wrote alongside the images on Instagram on Sunday.
Bindi thanked her family for giving her the “greatest gifts this year through their extraordinary actions each and every day”, including Robert for his enthusiasm for life and Chandler for his support.
“My darling daughter, (for) the gift of finding beauty in all things and running towards happiness (and bubbles, which are the same thing to her) with an open heart,” she wrote.
Terri took to Twitter to share a sweet memory from the day of Bindi’s birth, which she said changed her life with Bindi’s late father, Steve, “for the better”.
“I remember when you were born, Steve cried happy wears, then showed everyone in the hospital his beautiful baby girl.
“He loved you from the moment he met you, and I know he is so very proud of you. Happy birthday my dear Bindi Sue.”
Robert shared a photo of himself with his sister to Instagram, calling her a “Hard worker, amazing sister and such a wonderful mum to Grace.”
Husband Chandler also celebrated his wife on Instagram.
“You are the most kind-hearted person, caring mama, loving wife and my best friend,” he wrote.
“I love you (and so does Grace),” he wrote.
