Best of Brisbane
Don't miss out on the headlines from Best of Brisbane. Followed categories will be added to My News.
One of the tightest votes in Best of Brisbane history has been decided, with the River City’s best florist crowned for 2023 by a wafer-thin margin.
As little as three votes separated our winner from the rest of the Top.10 but the results are now in, with an assortment of boutique designers to artfully arranged stores and petal perfectionists making the list.
Congratulations to our Top.10 for 2023 and huge thanks to all our readers for voting.

New England Flower Co owner Jessica Ryall, 49, said her reaction when learning she won Brisbane’s Best Florist a second time was pure excitement.
“Everyone is ecstatic and very excited,” she said.
“I couldn’t do it without the team I work with.
“Thank you to all my clients for their support, I feel very honoured to do this as my career.
“I pinch myself every day I can do this.”
Mrs Ryall said she is extremely passionate about the floral industry.
While she works with weddings primarily she loves being able to deliver flowers on special occasions.
“To go and buy the flowers from the markets, create the bouquets and deliver to doorsteps … the look on their faces is amazing,” she said.
“It’s the emotion that drives what the flowers do.”
Every bouquet is custom made and personalised to each client.
After nearly nine years in the industry, spurred on by a spontaneous decision to create floral art, Mrs Ryall now teaches a floral artistry course at TAFE.
“After my first floral delivery the client started crying. That’s when I knew this is it, this is my job now,” she said.
