10. COFFEE WARDEN, SANDGATE

Coffee Warden in Brighton has snagged 10th spot in our hunt for Brisbane’s best big brekky.

With their Big Brekky ($17.90), you’ll get sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, a hash brown, roasted tomato and tomato relish with sourdough. They also serve a Veggie Big Brekky that comes with the lot, but subs out the meat for smashed avocado and haloumi.

This little cafe is known for its excellent service and great coffee too, so rest assured your morning brekky will always be served with a smile.

9. CHAPTER IV, PADDINGTON

180 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington

Chapter IV is well-known among the Brisbane cafe-goer community for its delicious all-day menu, which includes their big breakfasts.

The Big Breakfast ($24.90) at Chapter IV features free-range eggs your way, lamb and rosemary sausage, maple-cured bacon, broccolini, roasted tomato, grilled field mushroom, and crusty sourdough bread. For the vegetarians, the Big Veggie Breakfast ($22.90) has all the veg fixings mentioned above as well as avocado and bubble and squeak.

8. LITTLE DREAMER CAFE, CALAMVALE

A food blogger’s heaven, Little Dreamer has made our list for Brisbane’s best big brekky with its customer-favourite Dreamer’s Breakfast options.

From the Dreamer’s Breakfast for 1 ($21) that is most like your typical big brekky and is served with eggs, bacon, chorizo, mushroom, avo, hash brown, and toast.

To their Share Platter for 2 ($44) that features all your savoury favourites as well as sweet potato fries, Asian salad, and mini acai bowls.

But for something extra and with more to share they offer a Breakfast Tower ($59), which includes a share platter plus a waffle with ice cream, seasonal fruit, strawberry coulis, and white chocolate sauce. Sweet dreams are made of these.

With food that tastes as good as its beautiful presentation, if you eat with your eyes, it’s no wonder why Brisbanites are dreaming of Little Dreamer cafe.

Follow in Alice’s footsteps and make your way down The Rabbit Hole and try one of the best big brekky’s in Brisbane.

The Rabbit Hole’s Veggie Brekkie ($24.90) is the ultimate big breakfasts for vegans and vegetarians alike with house beans, plant based protein balls, mushroom, roast tomatoes, hash browns, avocado and house relish served on ciabatta with tofu scram or eggs your way.

After a classic big breakfast? Theirs comes with eggs your way served on ciabatta, bacon, chipolatas, hash browns, garlic mushrooms, roast tomatoes and house relish.

If that sounds up your ally but don’t think your appetite is big enough, they offer mini versions of both their classic and veggie breakfasts ($19.90).

6. FAMISHED ON FRASERS, ASHGROVE

Located in suburban Ashgrove, this cosy cafe’s big breakfast ($25) won’t leave you hungry with bacon, poached egg, pork sausage, house baked beans, garlic mushroom, avocado, halloumi, and tomato relish served with cheesy toast.

5. WILLOW AND SPOON, WILSTON

Though they don’t serve your typical big breakfast, we couldn’t ignore the nominations for Willow and Spoon.

Since its inclusion to the menu four years ago, the Wilston cafe’s signature dish, The Willow ($24.50) is still their most popular menu item today.

The special dish features house cured and roasted pork belly with truffled eggs, piquillo mayo, and buttered leek on barley toast. Though it’s not traditional, it’s just as tasty and bound to fill you up.

4. WILLIES FINE FOODS, BULIMBA

At Willies, their big brekky is known as “the mother of all meals” and comes with bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, schnitzel, and pasta. Forget big breakfast, this is the Mega Breakfast ($20.90).

3. KITH ’N’ CHOW, MT GRAVATT

For those living in the south of the city, Kith ’n’ Chow should sound familiar. As one of the most popular cafes for a breakfast feed, it’s no surprise they’ve made third place on our list of best big breakfasts.

Their signature Mixed Platter ($36) has consistently been the cafe’s most popular item with customers raving about the selection and quality of food.

The brekky platters are perfect for two or more people and includes a helping of smoked salmon, bacon, chorizo, haloumi, seared tomatoes, sunny side up eggs, sourdough toast, salad, beetroot hummus, Greek yoghurt, and granola.

Kith ’n’ Chow also offers a Vego Platter for two ($30) or more. They’re also able to swap the bread for a gluten-free option so you can still get your carb fix.

2. CARPE DIEM CAFE, FAIRFIELD

This cafe’s Mega Breakfast ($22.90) is a carnivore’s dream and comes with eggs (poached, fried, or scrambled), bacon, steak, chorizo, mushrooms, as well as their homemade feta and chive rosti on sourdough.

Carpe Diem is an affordable cafe with great service that’s sure to tame your hunger.

1. RAMEKINS CAFE, CARSELDINE

Coming in first place on our hunt for Brisbane’s best big breakfast for 2020 is Ramekins cafe in Carseldine.

Ramekins’ Classic Big Brekky ($24.90) includes all your favourite grilled goods: eggs done your way, bacon, chipolatas, hash browns, baked beans, tomato, mushroom, and spinach served with toasted Turkish bread.

They also offer a delicious Veggie Breakfast ($20.90) with eggs, haloumi, beetroot relish, avo, and all the other brekky veg that comes with the classic.

So, if you’re after a hearty breakfast, you know you can rely on Ramekins cafe to supply the goods.
