One of the most iconic breakfast and brunch dishes is the infamous eggs benedict, which is traditionally two halves of an English muffin topped with bacon or ham, a poached egg, and finished with hollandaise sauce.
Over the years, all sorts of variations have appeared and evolved here in Brisbane where you’ll commonly find toppings like smoked salmon, haloumi, mushrooms, pork belly, or even crab for those cafes who like to get fancy.
After our readers nominated and voted for who they think makes Brisbane’s best eggs benny, we can now reveal the winners!

As the name of the dish suggests, you’ll find poached eggs sitting on top of a potato gem waffle with hollandaise sauce, garlic shoots, and your choice of any side.
For sides, you’ll be able to choose anything from some avocado, bacon, or salmon, to tomatoes, chorizo, or haloumi.
With no gluten in sight on this eggs benny, gluten free folk rejoice!
