THERE are a growing number of vegans in Australia according to research by Roy Morgan with peoples’ reasons for the change in lifestyle varying from wanting an improved diet and better health, to the lesser impact on the climate crisis, and concerns for animal welfare.

Brisbane has a great range of plant-based eateries all around the city but how do you tell the good from the great?

After calling for nominations and putting a shortlist out to a vote, we’ve found the top ten best vegan cafes and restaurants in Brisbane.

Let’s taco bout this authentic Mexican restaurant with a twist. El Planta takes Mexican favourites and turns them into 100% plant-based meals that are also mostly gluten free.
