Brisbane’s best parks for all ages have been revealed, with Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner releasing his top picks and inviting residents to try out some quirky park sports.

With another four weeks of school holidays left, Brisbane City Council has invited families to try out pickleball, disc golf, and ninja courses at select parks as well.

Cr Schrinner said Brisbane has a network of 2180 parks, with 64 new ones created in the past five years, and seven parks added this year alone.

“There’s truly something for everyone, from adventure playgrounds like Bradbury Park in Kedron and Warril Parklands in Larapinta, to natural greenspaces like Hanlon Park in Stones Corner,” the Lord Mayor said.

“We know cost-of-living pressures are taking a toll on households across the city, especially during the Christmas and school holiday period.

“Families can find hours of free fun at their local park or take a picnic and discover a new one – there’s adventure around every corner.

“Some of my favourite childhood memories took place in our local park and I’m sure residents feel the same way.”
