'Like visiting an old friend': Brisbane's best eyebrow specialist 2024

Less than six months in business, a boutique eyebrow studio from a quiet suburb in Brisbane's north has been named Brisbane's best eyebrow specialist for 2024.

In what can only be described as the most highly contested Best of Brisbane vote, one beauty business has emerged as Brisbane's best eyebrow specialist after two weeks of voting.

Describing the business as "not just another brow and lash salon," owner Grace Gardner has said her philosophy around brows as delivering a quality service for all clients. 

"Your beauty journey is our passion, and we're here to help you look and feel your absolute best," she wrote on Instagram.

Beautician Jem has described herself as "addicted" to creating stunning brows. "Bespoke Brows was born from a personal discovery of how transformative eyebrows can be to how you look and feel," she wrote on her website.

Despite describing herself as an introvert, Carly said she is overjoyed when a brow and lash appointment is able to help lift confidence levels for her clients.

Gabrielle Blake, the beautician behind Glamour Artistry Beauty, has been a staple in the beauty industry for almost a decade. Described by clients as able to "work magic on eyebrows," Gabrielle excels at brow lamination, hybrid lashes, lash lifts and creating natural brows.

After four years in the eyebrow industry, Tara Byrne of Arch Dé Lux said she loves that she has the opportunity to make clients feel more confident.

"A lot of people have had bad experiences when it comes to their brows and almost a fear attached to their appointments," she said.

"At Arch Dé Lux we take the time to listen to everything our client wants, so we can work together to give them their dream brows.

Nervous but excited about their win, Ainsley Reeks and Tayla Barratt of Brow Muse Studios in Gaythorne have been named Brisbane's best eyebrow studio. The two best friends said they "instantly clicked" when they met at work years ago. 

Calling 2023 a "year of realisations" they said it was time to get the ball rolling on creating their own beauty space a little over six months ago.

"We want clients to feel like they're visiting an old friend while getting expert-level brows," they said. "The studio has good vibes with music, and we've always got something to say. It's a cool little spot. This whole complex has just brought life to Gaythorne."
