Call it a hack or a bargain buy, there is a Kmart item that people are racing into store to get their hands on. 

Shoppers are raving about the retailer's $19 Solar Portable Charger, which has not only been hailed as a camping must-have but also a game-changer for parents on the go.

According to the Kmart website, the portable charger boasts solar power "to ensure that all your devices are charged and ready for use when you are on outdoor trips."

It comes with two USB charging ports that enable you to recharge up to two devices at once, gives up to 12 hours of power, and is compatible with most devices including smartphones, portable speakers, GPS gadgets, cameras, and one that parents are particularly excited about... iPads!

The $19 gadget, which has attracted a 4.2 star rating online, has been hailed as an absolute game-changer for parents with children who don't cope well with a dead iPad. Read: every parent out there!
