The celebrity cameos

If you thought you recognised a few voices of certain characters in the extended episode, you'd be right. Chances are you have probably heard many of them on TV already.

'The Sign' had plenty of well-known celebs feature in the episode.

Real estate agent Bucky Dunstan's voice? That was Aussie personality Rove McManus. Offspring's Deborah Mailman can also be heard in one of the sheepdogs looking to buy Bluey's family home and the German Shepherd policeman who pulls Chilli over for having Bluey in the front seat is actually Aussie actor Joel Edgerton.

All stars join a long list of celebrity cameos who have featured on Bluey at some point during their three seasons, including Eva Mendes, Natalie Portman, Rose Byrne, Robert Irwin, Carrie Bickmore, Anthony Wiggle and more.

Flappy returns as a sign of hope

Someone else who makes a cameo in the long episode is butterfly Flappy.

You might remember the blue butterfly from the episode 'Slide' in season three when Bingo and Lila are playing on a waterslide in the backyard trying to avoid all the bugs. One bug they manage to 'save' is a green caterpillar who becomes a blue butterfly at the end of the episode, which is affectionately named 'Flappy' by the pups.

In 'The Sign', Flappy pops in as a subtle reassurance that all will end well for the family of Heelers.

Greeny floats back in

Just like Flappy, Greeny, the green balloon also makes an appearance.

Cast your minds back to the episode 'Mum School' and you'll remember Bluey's beloved green balloon floats away at the end. Greeny returns in the new episode as another subtle sign of hope as Bluey tries to console her younger sister Bingo just as she realises the truth about having their home up for sale.

The scene pans out to the sky where the green balloon is floating around in between the clouds, but you would likely have missed it because you were wiping away those tears in that moment!

"I only caught this when I watched the episode a second time. Totally missed it and right at a beautiful moment between Bingo and Bluey too! Hit me right in the feels," one mum told Kidspot.

Brandy is pregnant!

It lasted just a few seconds but there was no missing the huge news that Chilli's sister Brandy is finally pregnant!

There has been much talk around Brandy's struggle with fertility which is addressed in the heartwrenching episode 'Onesies' but there is a happy ending for the pooch as she arrives at Rad and Frisky's wedding with a cute little doggy bump. As Chilli greets her sis with a little rub of the belly, you could almost hear all the mums watching squealing with excitement.

"Love that Chilli's sister is pregnant," one fan wrote on the ABC Kids Community Facebook group.

"I SOBBED when I saw this. There were so many amazing easter eggs, but this update post the heartbreak of Onesies made my heart whole," another added.

Some fans shared that even their own little ones got the reference.

"We loved that Chilli's sister had a special bump. My daughter and I both looked at each other with an aw moment she was my special meant-to-be bump."

Nana Heeler and Grandpa Bob show off their moves

As everyone hit the dance floor to celebrate Rad and Frisky, you might've noticed Nana Heeler and Granpa Bob (Bobba) showing off a few of their own dance moves.

The duo can be seen flossing - the dance move that Bluey taught them in the much-loved episode, 'Grannies'.

A lovely nod to one of the most popular episodes in Bluey history.

Long dogs scattered throughout

Of course, no Bluey episode would be complete without sending fans on a hunt for some long dogs.

The extended ep features a couple (that we managed to notice!) of long dogs - one can be spotted in the form of a toy in the family car and the other is a symbol on the wedding DJ's laptop.

Bluey fans have become obsessed with spotting long dogs (aka sausage dogs) in episodes of the Aussie show, with many taking to social media to share where and when they've seen one.

Winton's dad finds love

Blink and you'll miss it, but Winton's dad and a terrier's mum begin their own happily ever after at the end of 'The Sign'.

Early on in the episode, we see the pups at school talking about things that are bothering them. Winton reveals that his parents don't live together anymore and that his dad feels lonely. It prompts a terrier to play an accidental matchmaker.

"Our mum likes your dad," she shares.

And it makes sense too. In the episode 'TV Shop', Winton's dad is seen chatting to the mum in the chemist. The start of a new 'friendship', which ultimately ends with the two moving in together in the closing scenes of 'The Sign'.

The new couple had so many fans cheering online.

"Winton's dad with the terriers mama moving in together was the cutest," one person again wrote in the ABC Kids Community Facebook group.

Others even noted that Winton's dad's house is the one that the sheepdogs buy instead of Bluey's house.

"My favourite is seeing the terriers mum and Winston's dad together!! And they are selling the house with the pool," someone else chimed in.

"We knew Winton’s Dad had a pool from the episode called Helicopter," another pointed out.

Socks is all grown up

Bluey and Bingo's little cousin Socks has always been the one that seems to miss out on 'big girl' playtime because she's just a tad too young to get in amonst it like Muffin is.

But in 'The Sign', we see Socks finally join the gal gang. No longer seen as the 'baby' in the family, Socks has grown up a lot during season three and fans are thrilled to see her walking and talking just like the rest of the pups.

"The changes in Socks. She walks, talks and is toilet trained!" one fan pointed out cheerfully.
