Shibuya neighbourhood, Tokyo
If you’ve only got one day in central Tokyo, target this larger than life precinct for its bottomless showbag of treats. Shop, imbibe, dance and sing till you drop within a 300-metre radius of Shibuya Station. Buzzing Harajuku, Meiji shrine, Yoyoji Park and posh Aoyama are all within skipping distance. Shibuya’s famed five-way pedestrian crossing (pictured) supplies great vlogger fodder, surging against a thousand-deep sea of Japanese people. If you have time, head up Tokyo Tower with its views over Tokyo Bay then pop into the Edo Tokyo Museum with its staggering array of traditional art.
