The Delaware teenager was jogging down a busy street when a man holding a bottle of alcohol allegedly approached her.

“He followed her directly to the store and banged on the glass,” Mr Moss claimed to the television station.

Mr Moss said he and his wife were normal people, and simply business owners and parents and wanted to keep their community safe and “protect the children” in their community.

The girl’s mother, Christina Pino, told 6abc: “She just thought, ‘I had to get out of the situation quick’, and so she said, ‘Aunt Rachel! Aunt Rachel!’

“I just think people in Ridley Township need to be more aware of the people that are walking along MacDade Boulevard.”

The man was arrested by police and charged with having inappropriate verbal contact with a minor.
