Fergus Gregg is a reporter for the Mackay Daily Mercury, covering the Mackay and Whitsunday region of North Queensland. Fergus joined the team in December 2023, moving to Mackay from Brisbane. He graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts: Film, TV and New Media, with a minor in creative writing. He travelled to Japan soon after where he worked as a teacher and travel writer. Fergus is passionate about politics, food and marine biology.
