An Australian mum influencer has given a heartbreaking update on her baby girl after she fell into a comatose state for more than 100 hours.
Allanah Alison said her daughter Daisy had to be resuscitated by doctors and is in a fight for her life.
Daisy had been diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis – a rare genetic that causes non-cancerous tumours in the brain.
“Not the update we ever wanted to give,” Ms Alison said on Instagram this week.
“Our darling Daisy is now in a critical condition, fighting for her life.
“We will be forever grateful to all the doctors and nurses for acting quickly and getting her heart beating again.”
Before Daisy’s diagnosis, it took doctors six months to work out was causing her symptoms.
Ms Alison said her daughter would sleep up to 22 hours a day, but claims doctors dismissed the concerns, saying she was just a worried parent, and her baby was simply sleepy.
But soon, doctors found that the little girl’s brain was covered in tumours.
It is a cruel blow for the family, whose daughter Lily passed away four years ago.
A GoFundMe has been created to support the family and ongoing medical costs.
