In the latest trailer for the forthcoming season of The Kardashians, Khloé shares all details about her recent battle with skin cancer which rested on her face.

On Thursday, Hulu released the official trailer for The Kardashians season three, giving a glimpse into the many sagas to come in the latest instalment of their reality show.

From Kim’s divorce with Kanye and Kourtney’s wedding to stern chats about the family’s role in society’s beauty standards, and all the sisterly drama sprinkled in between, safe to say there’s a lot to digest in season three.

One of the biggest moments seen in the trailer is Khloé’s recent scare with skin cancer, and the impact that had on both her physical and mental health, as well as that of her sisters.

For the most part, like most Kardashian storylines, Khloé’s journey with melanoma had been kept under wraps in the media until now, where it is set to be wholly dissected on the show.

In the trailer, Hulu shows snippets of her cancer journey, particularly the sincere concern felt by her family and friends.

“Mum just told me that it’s melanoma,” says Kylie with an obvious air of trepidation. “This on her face, is very concerning,” Mother Kris then adds.

Khloé had the tumour removed last year, and after a mass of fan questioning surrounding the bandages on her face, the 38-year-old decided to share why.

Taking to her Instagram stories in October, Khloé explained that the bandages are a result of a surgical procedure to remove a tumour from her cheek.

"After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied seven months after realising it was not budging."

"A few days later I was told I need to have an immediate operation to remove a tumour from my face," her post continued, adding that the nature of the tumour was something “incredibly rare” for someone in their thirties.

The trailer for the forthcoming season flashes between shots of Khloé’s cheek with a four-centimetre stitched wound and scenes of her recovering at home with a bandage strapped to her face.

Concerned comments surround the scenes with sister Kendall saying that her older sister has “lost a lot of weight” as a result of the cancer scare and that she “doesn’t sleep.”

“I don’t think I’ve seen you this low,” adds Khloé’s best friend Malika Haqq as they embrace in a hug.

The trailer offered a slight glimpse of Khloé’s take on the situation, insinuating that the show will reveal more of how the reality star struggled and eventually recovered from the major diagnosis.

"Melanoma is deadly," Khloé admits in a confessional. "This is way more serious than I anticipated it to be."

Skin cancer accounts for the largest number of cancer cases in Australia every year. Melanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer which sees an abnormal growth of skin cells accumulate, usually as a result of exposure to the sun’s UV rays.

Khloé revealed previously that she had an earlier melanoma diagnosis when she was just 19 which ended in a similar surgery to have the cancer removed.

"I am someone who wears sunscreen every single day, religiously so no one is exempt from these things,” Khloé said in her comment, urging everyone to take precautions. “Please take this seriously and do regular self-exams as well as your annual checkups."

On one of her Instagram posts regarding her facial cancer, Khloé reassured fans that “all is great and healing wonderfully.”
