HE’S up for the big gong again after taking it out in 2014, and Scotty Cam says he’s got big plans for the Gold Logie award if he wins this year.

The Block host chatted all things Logies with 2Day FM’s Dan & Maz this morning after it was revealed yesterday that he’s been nominated again for Most Popular TV Personality. “It’s terrific to be involved in the Logies every year, I love it and to be in the club of the Gold Logie is really exciting,” the 52-year-old told the radio duo.

Asked whether he’d be happy to see someone else take home Australian television’s highest award, Cam said: “I do think I’m probably long odds to get up again but at the end of the day I’m just happy to be nominated again ... I do have one, I’m just happy to be in there. I’d like to take another one home, of course.”

Last year, the chippie-turned-TV star famously turned his little gold statuette into a bottle opener.

If he wins the 2015 Gold Logie, he says it will be transformed into a corkscrew in no time - “for the missus to open her chardis.”

Dan and Maz had fellow Gold Logie nominee Hamish Blake waiting on the line, who revealed his plans if he wins the gong. “If I win the Gold Logie, I should be flying home on my unicorn. I don’t think that’s going to happen,” he joked. “I think it’s borderline offensive that I’ve been nominated.

“To be honest, I’d love to see Carrie (Bickmore) win it this year, that feels about right.”

Blake won the Gold Logie in 2012. This year, Blake and Cam will compete for the coveted TV award along with Andy Lee, Carrie Bickmore, Asher Keddie and Stephen Peacocke.

The 2015 awards will be held in Melbourne on Sunday, May 3rd.
