This Tuesday night, rock legends Foo Fighters will grace the stage at Suncorp Stadium for an electrifying one-night-only show, concluding the Australian leg of their world tour.

As the city buzzes with anticipation, The Courier-Mail has compiled a comprehensive guide to ensure that the 50,000 attendees, and the local community, have all the information they need for this momentous event.

Concert Overview:

The concert is scheduled for Tuesday, December 12, at Suncorp Stadium, with gates opening at 4pm. The show starts at 5pm, featuring the opening acts ‘The Chats’ and ‘Hot Milk’ before the Foo Fighters take the stage.

Suncorp Stadium advises attendees to arrive early to avoid the last-minute rush.

Pre-Event Checklist:

Concertgoers should download and share their mobile tickets using the Ticketek App and ensure their phones are fully charged.

It’s important to note that the venue is cashless, accepting card payments only.

Attendees are also advised to pack light, as bags larger than A4 size won’t be allowed inside. Cloaking facilities are available on the external plazas.

Transportation to the Venue:

To ease the journey to the stadium, ticket holders are encouraged to use free public transport available from 12pm on Brisbane Bus and Train services.

Special Event shuttles will start at 4.30pm from various city and suburban hubs.

Attendees are advised to plan their journey using the TransLink website, and be aware of parking restrictions in the surrounding Lang Park Traffic Area.

Security and Entry:

On arrival, attendees should head to their gates with tickets ready for scanning.

The venue will conduct bag checks and wanding, prohibiting any bags over A4 size. Information about prohibited items can be found on the Suncorp Stadium website.

Cloakroom services are available.

Inside the Stadium:

Once inside, fans will find numerous bars, food stands, merchandise outlets, and toilets, with all payments being card-only.

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited, with immediate eviction for offenders. Additionally, fans should be prepared for flashing lights and other lighting effects during the show and are encouraged to respect staff and fellow concertgoers.

Merchandise:

Pre-Show merchandise sales are available on Monday, December 11, from 12pm to 6pm at the North Plaza.

On Tuesday, December 12, merchandise kiosks will be open from 1pm in the North plaza and 3pm in the South Plaza, and inside the stadium post-gates opening.

Post-Concert Information:

Exiting the stadium, attendees are requested to be patient and follow the staff’s directions.

Free public transport services will continue for an hour after the concert ends.

Attendees should respect the neighbourhood by keeping noise to a minimum.

Accessibility:

The venue is equipped with accessible transport options and facilities, including wheelchair-accessible entries, exits, and bathrooms.

Local Impact:

Residents should be aware of road closures from 4.30pm until 11.30pm on concert day.

Caxton Street, Castlemaine Street, Cordova Street, Finchley Street, Mayneview Street and Parkview Street will be closed pre and post event.

Black Street, Paten Street, Granzella Street and parts of Milton Road, Roma Street and Upper Roma Street will be closed post event.

Local residents and business traffic needing access to these areas during event days can inform security staff or Police of their intention to visit a residence or business in the area. However, it’s important to note that 15-minute on-street parking restrictions will apply, unless otherwise signed.

Noise monitoring will be in place with sound checks scheduled for December 11 and 12.
