THE SCOOP: Barely-there dressed women and ‘projectile vomiting’ at Drake’s final Aussie bash
Drake may have ghosted his Australian fans with his shock tour cancellation, but not before one final, scandalous send-off in Brisbane — complete with influencers, OnlyFans models, and a McDonald’s feast. WE’VE GOT THE SCOOP

The Hotline Bling rapper Drake, who snuck out of the country early Wednesday morning, hosted an exclusive afterparty at Fortitude Valley’s The Tax Office nightclub on Tuesday night.
And while his Sydney and Melbourne events were strictly invite-only, Brisbane’s bash had a more relaxed entry policy — so long as you fit the right look.
According to insiders, around 200 women were hand-picked via Instagram DMs, with Drake’s team reportedly selecting guests based on “social media clout and appearance.”
Despite the flood of women, there were reportedly only 15 men present — all from Drake’s entourage. The ratio turned the night into something of a competition, as many female guests, unable to get close to Drake, redirected their attention to his crew.
“It was basically open to any female of legal age who was hot enough,” an insider told The Courier-Mail, describing the guest list as a parade of barely-there dresses and sky-high heels.
But despite the packed club and A-list energy, Drake himself was surprisingly low-key. Arriving fashionably late at 1.30am in a motocross-style jersey, he barely mingled.
Instead, he spent most of the night sitting alone in a private, roped-off area, glued to his phone or perched on a balcony eating McDonald’s.
While he made a brief appearance at the DJ decks for about 30 minutes, Drake showed little interest in performing. Instead, he engaged in the occasional quiet conversation, gave a few “sneaky cuddles” in the VIP section, and vanished into the shadows of the club at intervals … alone.
The open bar, however, ensured the crowd kept the energy high — perhaps too high. Witnesses reported some partygoers drinking to excess, with “projectile vomiting” spotted outside the venue as the night wore on.
Meanwhile, Drake stuck to his signature drink, the “Onda Civic” — a custom mix of Onda Tequila Seltzer and fresh passionfruit.
By 4am, the night was over. Drake and his crew slipped out through a side exit and returned to The Star Brisbane. Just hours later, he was on a plane back to Canada — vanishing before news of his abrupt tour cancellation even had time to fully sink in.
With no rescheduled dates in sight, it seems this chaotic Tax Office soiree was indeed Drake’s final hoorah in Australia.
Among the notable names in Drake’s orbit throughout his trip was Sydney jewellery designer and Made in Bondi star Emma Pillemer, aka Emma Pills, who was reportedly “getting cosy” with the rapper in his private booth at a Brisbane club earlier in the week.
Also making multiple appearances at Drake’s private events was Gold Coast stunner Chloe Hort, one of the select few invited to intimate dinners with the rapper at some of Brisbane’s top restaurants, including Norte, Blowfish, and The Roosevelt.
RADIO TRIO COULD BE KISSED GOODBYE
KIIS 97.3’s Brisbane breakfast crew, Robin, Kip & Corey, are reportedly fighting to keep their jobs as insider sources reveal that their days may be numbered if they fail to deliver top-tier ratings in the coming months.
Industry insiders have told Scoop that staff at the station are deeply concerned after whispers within the KIIS parent company ARN suggested that if the show does not achieve consistently high results in the next three Radio Audience Measurement surveys, it could be axed in favour of a syndicated Kyle and Jackie O broadcast.
“The pressure is enormous. The team knows they need to dominate the next few ratings or they’ll be gone,” one insider said.
The high-stakes situation follows KIIS 97.3’s recent shake-up, which saw former Brisbane Broncos star Corey Oates join the show in a bid to reinvigorate the program and capture a larger audience share.
However, it appears ARN is not content with steady growth — only exceptional numbers will secure the trio’s future.
The final radio review of the financial year, set for release on June 17, is being touted as the ultimate test. If Robin, Kip & Corey Oates fail to dominate—or at least come close—their fate may already be sealed.
The looming decision is not just a ratings battle but a cost-cutting measure, with ARN reportedly exploring a long-term plan to introduce The Kyle & Jackie O Show into the Brisbane market.
The Sydney-based duo, widely regarded as Australia’s most influential radio hosts, made headlines in 2023 when they signed a $200 million deal to expand their reach across the country.
But there’s another factor in play—Kyle Sandilands’ health.
The shock jock recently revealed he has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, raising questions about how viable a full-scale syndication plan would be.
Despite the cutthroat nature of breakfast radio, industry insiders say there’s little desire among competitors to see the Brisbane-based show taken off the air.
“Brisbane radio has always been about local connection, and it would be a huge blow to lose another homegrown show,” one radio veteran said.
MASS EXODUS CLAIMS ANOTHER VICTIM AT NINE NEWS
Nine News Queensland is facing another staff exodus amid reported pay disputes, with reporter Jacob Chicco the latest to depart, opting for a job in the office of Treasurer David Janetzki.
Chicco follows a growing list of Nine journalists who have made the switch to political roles, including Cam Inglis, who took on the role of media adviser to Premier David Crisafulli late last year, and Meg Sydes, who left Nine to work with LNP MP Tim Mander.
Sources suggest the mass departures stem from the network’s inability to offer competitive pay rises, leaving many employees seeking more stable and lucrative opportunities outside of the newsroom.
The staffing shake-up comes as Nine Entertainment’s acting chief executive, Matt Stanton, announced $100 million in cost-cutting measures this week, a move that could reshape the media landscape, particularly in Brisbane radio.
Industry insiders claim one of Nine’s major cost-cutting strategies could include offloading its talk radio stations 4BC and 2UE, with former media mogul John Singleton reportedly eyeing a deal to snap them up at a discount price.
Singleton, 83, sold his stake in Macquarie Media — the former parent company of Nine’s radio stations — for $80 million in 2019.
Now, he’s said to be leading a consortium interested in reclaiming 4BC, 2UE, and other Nine-owned stations.
Should Singleton secure Brisbane’s 4BC, insiders claim he has big plans for a programming shake-up, including cutting breakfast host Peter Fegan, who has struggled in the ratings since taking over the slot, as well as ousting morning host Bill McDonald.
However, Singleton’s potential return to the airwaves could pave the way for a familiar face — former 4BC radio host Peter Gleeson.
The media veteran was recently ousted from his role as chief executive of the Queensland Greyhound Racing Club (QGRC) just six months after taking on the position.
Gleeson’s tenure at QGRC reportedly saw mounting tensions between Brisbane and Ipswich racing factions, and his abrupt exit has left speculation about his next move.
If Singleton moves forward with a 4BC acquisition, sources say a Gleeson comeback could be on the cards.
RUMOURS OF SUMMERTIME LOVE FOR LUTTSY
Nova 106.9 radio host David ‘Luttsy’ Lutteral, 48, may be officially off the market after he was spotted getting very cosy with a stunning mystery woman at the Ash, Luttsy & Nikki Osborne ‘End of Summer’ party at the Emporium Hotel on Thursday night.
Sources at the event said Luttsy and the young brunette were inseparable, seen cuddling, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company well into the night — with more than one guest whispering that she’s “way out of Luttsy’s league”
The radio star, who has previously been linked to Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm, even let slip that he’ll likely be ineligible for this year’s Courier-Mail Bachelor list – which, if true, could mean things are getting serious.
THE UNDATEABLE AND POORLY DRESSED ACCORDING TO THE BRONCOS
With round one of the NRL just days away, Scoop took a break from footy chat and hit the Broncos with the real hard-hitting questions — celebrity crushes, fashion fails, and which teammates they’d keep far away from their daughters.
Broncos captain Adam Reynolds kicked things off by confessing his first celebrity crush was none other than Jessica Simpson.
“A long long time ago, probably Jessica Simpson, probably a lot of people wouldn’t know who she is,” he said.
When it comes to fashion, he reckons prop Payne Haas has the best wardrobe (thanks to his deep pockets), but Ezra Mam and Patrick Carrigan? Let’s just say they could use a stylist.
“I’d say Ezra has got the worst, or Patty. Patty wears jorts (jean shorts),” he said.
And as for which teammate he’d never let near his daughters? “All of them,” Reynolds declared without hesitation.
Billy Walters admitted Demi Moore was his Hollywood dream girl back in the day.
He gave Ezra Mam the title of best-dressed Bronco but wasn’t impressed by Corey Jensen’s plain style.
“He’s very plain Jane,” he said.
And when it comes to keeping certain teammates away from his daughter? Walters said he’d steer clear of Reece Walsh — not because he’s a bad guy, but because of the media circus that follows him.
“He’s a good bloke, not saying he’s a bad bloke, but it’s just what comes with him.” he explained.
“There’d be so much scrutiny on it, so lot of pressure when you’re in the limelight and try and shelter my daughter from that.”
New recruit Ben Hunt took it back a few decades, naming Shania Twain as his childhood crush.
He gave Jordan Riki nd Reece Walsh props for being the best-dressed Broncos, but slammed Blake Mozer as the worst.
“I’d like to say I’m the best dressed, but I’m just definitely not. Reecey is always pretty well dressed, Jordan Ricky – worst dressed, Blake Mozer, easily,” he said.
And when it comes to protecting a hypothetical daughter? “Jordan Riki. Trouble. Trouble,” Hunt said, shaking his head.
ROBIN JUMPING FOR JOY AND LOVE
Breakfast radio listeners were left stunned this week when Robin Bailey made an X-rated confession live on KIIS 97.3’s Robin, Terry & Kip, admitting that one of her children was conceived on a jumping castle.
The revelation came when former Broncos star Corey Oates was discussing plans for a kids’ birthday party and the logistics of hiring an inflatable water park.
That’s when Bailey cheekily chimed in with: “They’re really fun when the kids go to bed, just saying.”
Stunned, Oates and co-host Kip Wightman barely had time to react before Bailey doubled down, casually dropping, “One of my children may have been conceived on one of those.”
Gasps and laughter filled the studio as Oates, clearly caught off guard, responded, “Oh, not that much fun! That’s not where I was going with that.”
But the conversation only got wilder. The trio then launched into a scandalous discussion about the most unconventional places they’d ever done the deed, with Oates confessing to an escapade on a four-wheeler at his parents’ farm and Wightman admitting to a steamy session in a public resort pool — fully lit for all to see.
AUSSIE HELPLINES BRACING FOR SURGE AS HOLLYWOOD’S ‘THIN IDEAL’ DOMINATES AWARDS SEASON
Australian eating disorder helplines are preparing for an influx of calls as Hollywood’s biggest stars flaunt dramatically slimmer figures across awards season — fuelling toxic beauty standards and body image pressures.
With the Grammys, this week’s SAG Awards, and Monday’s upcoming Oscars, images of A-listers looking noticeably thinner have taken over social media, with many speculating Ozempic and other weight-loss drugs are driving the trend.
The Butterfly Foundation, which runs Australia’s national eating disorder helpline, said award season has historically coincided with increased distress among callers — and they expect more to come.
“While Butterfly does not track data of Helpline calls relating to award seasons, we anecdotally know this has been an issue raised by people contacting our Helpline in the past,” Manager of the Butterfly National Helpline Sarah Cox said.
“When people hear about celebrity weight loss in the media, and particularly seeing before and after photos showcasing weight loss, people compare themselves to unrealistic beauty ideals, and may feel like they need to change their own body to be successful or worthy.”
She warned that the relentless glorification of ultra-thin physiques fuels body dissatisfaction and can push vulnerable people toward dangerous dieting behaviours.
“As a society we need to stop glorifying the harmful “thin ideal” through weight loss medications or slim celebrities on social or other media, because this fuels body dissatisfaction and for many people, including those with eating disorders or at risk of developing them, this can be highly triggering,” Ms Cox said.
