Television host and actor Darren McMullen has lost it at model Jarrod Scott on Celebrity Apprentice.
The pair started butting heads on day one, with Scott claiming there was disorganisation and no real direction from project manager McMullen in the first challenge of the season.
This was despite the celebrities making a record amount of money for charity and the men’s team winning.
So when Scott put his hand up as project manager in episode two on Monday night, McMullen was ready to throw his own insults.
The challenge was to set up and run a food delivery service, and there was bickering within the men's team from beginning.
When Scott made the call to stop taking orders and shut the kitchen early, the Gordon Ramsay-style kitchen blow up ensued.
“What happened? It was a s***fight,” an unimpressed McMullen asked walking into the kitchen after delivering orders.
Scott then asked the actor to explain what he meant.
“Mate listen everything was late, everything rocked up cold. You talked a big game. You were like, ‘I’ve f***ing got this, I’ve got hospitality experience, you were s*** last week Darren’ and I’m like ‘fine go for it mate’ and I backed you,” McMullen said.
“One of our team is probably going to go home now.”
Scott, remaining calm, replied: “If that’s the way it is, that’s fine but-”
“No it’s actually not fine,” McMullen snapped. “Why is that fine? I don’t want any of these guys to go.”
“If you let me explain, if you listen to the project manager and let me explain something-” Scott went on.
“Mate you’ve been nothing but talking and telling other people to shut up,” McMullen said.
Scott then argued it was part of his job, and McMullen of course disagreed.
In a piece to camera, The Block’s Ronnie Caceres said the two of them should be fired.
Later, McMullen explained to “CEO” Lord Alan Sugar he “went Gordon Ramsay” on Scott because he was frustrated about not being heard.
“There were a few of us that were raising some issues and it just fell on deaf ears,” he said.
The men’s team lost, which meant one of them would be fired.
Scott surprisingly put forward former NRL player Eloni Vunakece for not contributing and actor Vince Colosimo for his lack of patience. It was Vunakece who was fired.
When Scott returned to the rest of the group – a big surprise to McMullen – he told McMullen that his team “came for blood”, clearly annoyed at the critique he had gotten from others in front of Lord Sugar.
“That was all true though man, what we said. You didn’t listen. You actually legitimately didn’t listen,” McMullen said.
Scott then told McMullen: “I’d be careful … I’ll give you that piece of advice”.
