Season 2 of the series premieres on BINGE on August 5, and the boys themselves tell us to strap in because it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

“A lot of shirtless activities, some fun and games, some excitement, but there’s been some drama in the house. Some fights, arguments, some gym pumps. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster,” Tim, one of 21 contestants, told news.com.au during filming.

“You’ll definitely see different sides of people, how a lot of people go from nothing to something, some people are probably holding back, and other people are probably giving it their all at once,” shared another contestant named Nugget.

“You’re really starting to see how you’re emotions really play on everybody. It’s not easy. But I easily think it’s way better than last year’s season. You’ve got a lot of personality this season.”

Contestant Tim says it has been an emotional rollercoaster on the show.

Nugget says some men have shown their true colours.

The show first aired on BINGE last year and was as controversial as expected.

Three women are at the helm of the program – this year it’s Krystal Thomas, Nicole Mitrov and Ally Woodfall – as they navigate the dating pool together to determine who are the self-proclaimed “Nice Guys” looking for love, and who are the self-proclaimed “FBoys” only there to play the game and take home the $50,000 cash prize. And it seems it’s game on for many of the contestants.

“The competition is tighter than you think,” said Jack, from the Gold Coast. “There’s some clever cats here. Not too sure who’s who in the zoo, but I think we’re slowly going to find out. This [season] will be electric, I reckon.”

Abbie Chatfield returns as host with Krystal, Nicole and Ally as the season’s leading ladies.

But among the flex and bravado are friendships and bromances with some of the men immediately forging strong bonds, as resident funnyman Jerome explains.

“They say I’m a big comedian, but really they just do lot of things that just suck. And I just pick on them,” Jerome joked, before telling Jack, “Look at this bloke. He looks terrible and they’re just all a bit sloppy. But you know, me being funny and having a good time is just a reflection of how good some of these boys are.”

But there’s a familiar face in the mix sure to stir the pot, just like he did on The Bachelorette in 2018 during Ali Oetjen’s season and on its spin-off Bachelor In Paradise.

Paddy Colliar ruffled some features on the franchise after making controversial remarks about a same-sex couple on the island, Brooke Blurton and Alex Nation.

Paddy is a familiar face that appeared on The Bachelorette in 2018.

Jerome is called the resident funnyman.

“Absolutely hectic, man. I’d love to be a fly on the wall between those two,” he said on the show at the time. “Hopefully there’s oil and, like, massages involved.”

He has since apologised for his comments, saying in an Instagram Story at the time: “I just want to take this time to obviously formally apologise for last night’s comments.

“I didn’t mean anything by it at all. I have nothing against the lesbian community or the gay community, I think everyone should be treated equally. It was a little bit of banter between myself – obviously I’ve got no filter, we all know that and I didn’t intend to hurt anyone.”

During our interview, Paddy reflected on his best and worst dating traits. While he couldn’t think of any of his best traits, he says he could pay more attention to his dates.

“The worst is probably I zone out, I go to my own world, like I zone out and go, ‘Oh look a flamingo shagging’ or something like that,” he joked.
