Jessica Simpson appears unrecognisable in new photos

“He told me to get plastic surgery”: Fans were shocked by the star’s appearance in the latest episode of a controversial new TV show.

Jessica Simpson's first live TV appearance in 15 years savaged

Jessica Simpson gets revenge for botched plastic surgery and a cheating ex in the new TV series All’s Fair.

The fashion designer made her return to acting in Ryan Murphy’s latest drama, in which she portrayed a love story that appears to have been inspired by Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson’s romance.

“We’ve been married almost three years. I knew he had had one affair - probably more. So when he had told me to get plastic surgery, I couldn’t say no,” Simpson, 45, said in the episode, which premiered this week.

Her botched surgery is then revealed on screen when she explained how “my marriage was at stake.”

In a flashback, viewers watched Simpson’s character fall in love with a musician at a rock concert. The fictional couple went on to strike up a steamy physical relationship before the rock star told Simpson that she needed to have plastic surgery after she turned 40 years old. After getting botched in the procedure, she later won big in her legal battle.

Later in the episode, Simpson’s character gets revenge on her ex by dousing him in sulfuric acid after she caught him on a date with a younger girl.

Simpson, 45, previously teased her drastic transformation in the series in May, telling Entertainment Tonight that she underwent “eight hours of prosthetics” for the “very intense” role, per Deadline.

Simpson appeared in the series as a new client of an all-female law firm run by Allura Grant (Kim Kardashian), Emerald Greene (Niecy Nash), Dina Standish (Glenn Close), Liberty Ronson (Naomi Watts) and Milan (Teyana Taylor).

All’s Fair follows “a team of female divorce attorneys leave a male-dominated firm to open their own powerhouse practice,” according to the series’ official synopsis. It’s also been met with universally negative reviews, with one outlet dubbing it “one of the worst drama series of all time.”

The episode comes as Simpson navigates her own split from her estranged husband, Eric Johnson, after 10 years of marriage.

She announced her separation from Johnson in January, revealing that she and the former football player were “navigating a painful situation” in their relationship.

“Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family,” she said in a statement to People at the time.

Amid the fallout of her marriage, Simpson also announced that she would be making her return to music after a 15-year hiatus.

In January, a source told Page Six that the singer was turning her heartbreak into motivation by working on a new studio project.

“Jessica has been working on new music for a while, but with everything going on now, she feels it’s the perfect time to go full force with it,” an insider told us at the time.

“She’s always journaling, and a few entries have evolved into songs about heartbreak and resilience. It’s been a very creative, albeit heartbreaking, time for her.”

Simpson went on to release Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1 in March and Nashville Canyon, Pt. 2 in September.
