James Weir recaps Big Brother VIP 2021 episode 7

This MAFS star thought she could outsmart a celebrity troll with some payback — but it blew up in her face. James Weir recaps.

Jessika Powe gets offended by Dayne Beams (Big Brother)

Former Married At First Sight star Jessika Power’s savage revenge on a real-life Instagram troll backfires in the Big Brother VIP mansion and leaves her without a shred of hope or cheese.

This is really just a Jessika Power appreciation recap – an entire story dedicated to celebrating the MAFS star-turned-OnlyFans dynamo.

She’s the perfect reality contestant and consistently meets the two major criteria for success in the genre. Every night, she reliably delivers controversial moments and quotability.

“My face always takes so much longer to wake up than my head,” she declares after emerging from a deep slumber.

Interesting.
Interesting.

The physical challenges in the Big Brother mansion require strength and stamina. It’s vital that all contestants fuel themselves with a breakfast of champions.

“You know what I miss?” she yawns. “Cheese Stringers.”

Nothing about the Big Brother house resembles Jessika’s glamorous world on the outside. She’s accustomed to a fast-paced lifestyle – tirelessly feeding the hungry online beast with #SponCon and PR photos taken in front of flimsy cardboard media walls at launches for products no one has ever heard of. Without all the hustle and bustle, she doesn’t know what to do with herself. It’s like when CEOs of Fortune 500 companies retire and struggle to adapt to the slow everyday pace of a regular nobody.

“I’m dying from no attention!” Jessika screams to no one in particular.

“I want Big Brother to tell me how many followers I’ve got on Instagram! If it’s gone down or up.”

If anyone can relate, it’s retired footy player Dayne Beams.

“Who cares,” he groans.

“Um, me – because it’s my income,” she spits back.

“That’s just to scratch your ego,” he dismisses, laying back on his single bed. “That’s all Instagram is.”

Well, this just sets Jessika off. She’s ouraged — furious! Like Tamara was when Jessika stole her husband Dan on MAFS season six.

“I don’t sit here and bag out what you do for work!” she spluts. “It sounds condescending and it sounds rude.”

She’s upset! Get the girl a damn Cheesy Stringer, stat!
She’s upset! Get the girl a damn Cheesy Stringer, stat!

She promptly marches into the bathroom and threatens everyone to vote out Dayne.

“If I watch this show back and anyone doesn’t vote for Dayne, I’m gonna punch youse all in the face,” she warns. “I’m gonna come to ya houses and punch youse.”

Scary stuff.

But for the others to vote out Dayne, he needs to be up for nomination. And the only way to ensure he’s one of the three celebs put forward for elimination tonight is for Jessika to win a challenge and nominate him herself.

This means conquering the next physical task, which requires our contestants to grip some handles — so as to prevent falling off a tilted platform.

Or … as Luke Toki describes it: “It’s a ‘hold the pole’ thing.”

This description resonates with Jessika. “Ohhh, I’m good at this.”

Holdin’ the pole?” Imogen Anthony winks.

Obviously, Jessika is not lying. When it comes to holdin’ the pole, she out-grips everyone and wins the challenge effortlessly.

Jessika, holdin’ poles.
Jessika, holdin’ poles.

After all that pole holdin’, she has worked up an appetite.

“I need to have a cheese stick,” she sighs, digging around in the fridge for one of the bright yellow tubes that Big Brother has rewarded her with.

So, who does she nominate? They say revenge is sweet — but sometimes it’s savory and tastes of tube cheese. Jessika zones in on her Instagram troll Dayne, Meghan Markle’s weird half-brother, and that Ellie lady.

This was meant to be a guaranteed way to eliminate the man who dared scoff at Instagram. But our girl Sonia Kruger has other plans. Kruges Zoom calls into the mansion and blindsides everyone with a double eviction. It sends both Dayne and Ellie home.

Ellie is livid. On her way out of the mansion, she makes a pit stop in the kitchen to rummage through the refrigerator and inflict some payback.

“Jessika, if you’re watching, ya Cheesy Stringers are comin’ with me,” she breaks the fourth wall while holding the purple packet up and staring menacingly into the camera lens.

Revenge really does taste like tube cheese.
