Swifties have made their way the Brisbane Airport ahead of Taylor Swfit’s first concert in Sydney on Friday.

Friendship bracelets, cowboy hats and Taylor Swift T-shirts flooded the airport as fans made their way through.

Up to 51 flights from Brisbane to Sydney are scheduled for Thursday, with an extra 13,800 passengers estimated to be boarding, according to Brisbane Airport, as a result of the concerts on February 23, 24, 25 and 26.

Brisbane Airport Spokesman Peter Doherty said stepping into the terminal there was a “different vibe.”

“Early morning business commuters have been replaced by scores of excited teenagers, and older fans too,” he said.

We’ll expect to see more in-flight singalongs as we get closer to the weekend.”

Cafés in the airport made the most of the influx of passengers by blasting her music for customers to listen to while waiting for their flights.

Fan Freya Stindle, 21, said she got tickets for herself and friend Emily Newton, 22, when she was in Canada last year.

“It was pretty stressful but luckily it worked out well for the time difference, I stayed up a bit into the night though,” she said.

“The anticipation has been unreal, it’s so exciting.”

Ms Stindle said she was wearing an outfit that was a “nod” to one of Taylor’s lyrics in Dominoes.

“My outfit is made out of felt and rhinestones and it took me days,” she said.

“I started making my costume at the beginning of this year.”

Ms Stindle said she would be going to a “Taylor Swift warm-up party”.

“We will probably get her merch today as well,” she said.

“I went to her speak now world tour here in Brisbane in 2012.”

Ms Newton said she spent about $3000 on her two tickets to head to Taylor’s Friday and Saturday concerts, as well as accommodation and flights.

“I have probably been a fan since I was about eight years old,” she said.

“I have a fearless outfit and for the second night I’m going as ‘speak now.”

Swiftie Vicky Speight, 32, said she planned on making more bracelets tonight after arriving in Sydney.

“I’m going Lover vibes tonight and I got my dress for my birthday,” she said.

“We were luck. Within 15 minutes of getting our tickets, we had our accommodation ready.

Ms Speight said she and her friends paid about $1000 each for their tickets and accommodation together.

“We paid roughly $120 for our tickets, we are way at the back but we are just excited for the vibe and the atmosphere,” she said.

Friend Ebony Clark, 18, said she waited up to two hours while she was at work to get tickets.

“Yesterday I went all over the place looking for boots to go with my outfit as well,” she said.

Mr Doherty said it would be a busy day.

“But it’s certainly within our comfortable capacity limits,” he said.

Fan Hannah, 16, said she was going dressed up in a “lover” themed outfit with her cousin and her cousins partner.

“We made and decorated our own hats together,” she said.

Hannah said she would be staying with a friend in Sydney.

“Our tickets were about $380,” she said.

“Everyone will hate us but getting tickets only took us about five minutes.”
