Succession season 3 trailer drops as series set to return in late 2021

It’s been a lengthy wait for fans but season 3 of Succession is finally set to return later this year, with a new trailer revealing what’s to come.

The revolution will be televised!

The Roy family is finally back in a new teaser trailer for Season 3 of Succession, HBO’s Golden Globe-winning saga of backstabbing, betrayal, and boars on the floor.

Everything’s heating up as the Waystar Royco Civil War erupts, picking up right after Season 2’s shocker of an ending. After a handful of production delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jesse Armstrong’s epic drama is finally coming back.

“You are Kendall Roy,” the teaser begins with Jeremy Strong’s character talking himself up in the mirror, with the iconic orchestral score taking flight. “You are Kendall f**king Roy.”

Kendall (Strong) is heading into a fight against his father, Logan Roy (Brian Cox), at full throttle in the first teaser, stringing his siblings Roman (Kieran Culkin) and Shiv (Sarah Snook) along the way.

There’s just a little room for some stellar Greg (Nicholas Braun) and Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) banter — because what would Succession be without Greggs and Tomelettes? And to round it all out, the new teaser drops a hearty handful of f-bombs, spitting, and desk toppling.

Season 3 is set to premiere in Australia on Foxtel later this year. Here’s the upcoming season’s logline: “Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season 2, Logan Roy begins Season 3 in a perilous position. Scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances, tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.”

Succession has already announced a slew of new cast members set to join the ranks, including Adrien Brody, Alexander Skarsgard, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, and Jihae.

Some familiar faces have also been bumped up to series regulars this season including Willa Ferreyra (Justine Lupe), shady chief financial officer Karl Muller (David Rasche,) and Waystar Royco’s senior comms exec, Fisher Stevens (Hugo Baker).
