Sofie Formica takes on new role as host of 4BC afternoon segment
Brisbane entertainer Sofie Formica is switching up her career for a new role where she aims to shine a spotlight on the people and businesses that ‘are the backbone of our community’.

Presenter Sofie Formica is swapping the camera for the microphone, taking on a gig with 4BC radio.
The radio station announced as part of its expansion of local content it would offer a new afternoon program hosted by Ms Formica.
No stranger to the entertainment industry, Ms Formica has already forged a decorated career in entertainment with acting roles on Home and Away and presenting on The Great South East on the Seven Network.
Despite her long list of experience in the industry, Ms Formica said making the move into radio will be a “new frontier” for her.
“I am thrilled to be joining the 4BC family at a really exciting time for our city,” she said.
“Brisbane is my hometown, and this is a great opportunity to engage with listeners, shine a spotlight on our local lifestyle, and focus on the people and businesses that are the backbone of our community.”
A spokesman for 4BC said that regular listeners would “love” Ms Formica’s wealth of knowledge and experience.
Listeners can tune into the new segment, 4BC Afternoons with Sofie Formica, from Monday at 11am.
