Singer Dami Im announces baby joy

Brisbane singer Dami Im has shared some very exciting personal news with her fans.

Brisbane singer Dami Im is expecting her first child.

The former X Factor winner and Eurovision runner up announced her pregnancy on social media on Sunday, sharing a photo of her ultrasound image.

“I got a gig booked in Brisbane for May 2022 at the maternity ward,” Im, 33, wrote.

The post was met with a series of well wishes from the Australian music fraternity including Anthony Callea, Natalie Bassingthwaite and Emma Watkins.

Im, who recently released her new album My Reality, married husband Noah Kim, a social worker, in Seoul, Korea in 2012, the year before her X Factor win launched her music career.

“We got married a year before the whole talent show thing, so he’s been there with me through all of it,” she said in an interview in 2019.

“It’s really good to have him there, he understands everything I’ve been through and goes through the changes with me.

“Even though I’m the one in the spotlight he has been there with me.”

Im recently appeared on Celebrity MasterChef, which she said gave her a new focus when the pandemic cancelled her touring schedule.
