From the moment he took to the stage, showing off his body, Boone impressed the largest crowd of his tour with his backflips and perfect singing.

But what really got fans attention – although his shirtless physique was definitely a crowd favourite – was his encounters with his supporters.

Multiple fans rocked up to his last Australian show in Brisbane on Wednesday night with large signs. One of them read – “I will swap you vegemite for your shirt”.

Boone jokingly said “well I can’t give you my pants” when it was obvious he hadn’t been wearing a shirt for some time.

The crowd responded with “yes you can”.

But what really shocked fans was his distaste for an Aussie delicacy – Vegemite.

A topic he has discussed before but never to this extent, this time comparing it to dirt.

“Have you ever tasted dirt before? I have, I used to go backpacking a lot, camping a lot, one time I was cooking a fish and I dropped it in the dirt,” he said.

“And I just ate it anyway, and I get this similar taste in my mouth when I eat vegemite.

“But you know what, I can learn to love it.”

This was just one of many fan encounters. In one instance, he got so close to a fan who just gazed into his eyes for quite a long time.

After the experience Boone joked that he really was singing quite hard at the fan whose name was Destiny.

“I was singing really hard at you,” he said.

“You handled it pretty good, sometimes people sing along, not you though, you were just looking into the moment.”

Video capturing the moment shows Boone trying to mirror the look Destiny gave him.

Throughout the show he accepted many fan gifts including a koala stuffed bear, hats and a tight vest to which he wore it for a bit and said “I kind of like it”

Boone sang all of his fan’s favourite’s including Beautiful Things, In the Stars, Ghost Town, Pretty Slowly and Slow it down.

He had a lot of energy, constantly doing backflips from the piano and dancing all over the stage, engaging with fans.

He did all this despite Brisbane currently going through a heatwave.

“It’s blood hot here mate,” he said.

“It is stupid hot in here. I don’t think I’ve ever sweat so much in my life.”

Towards the end of the show Boone expressed how grateful he was for such a large crowd, giving Brisbane a special viewing of a song he doesn’t usually play at his concerts.

“This is the biggest crowd of the tour. I don’t usually play this song,” he said.

“But I wrote this song for a movie, and I really love it and it’s called Death Wish Love.”

The song was written for the movie Twisters. Boone admitted he couldn’t remember the lyrics, stealing a fan’s phone to search for it.

He even took the opportunity to play around on it, taking a photo on Snapchat.

“Oh you got Snapchat,” he said.

“I’m actually texting all your friends right now.”

Fans were up and dancing throughout the whole performance, which was action packed, and definitely something worth experiencing.
