Rebel Wilson cuddles up to girlfriend Ramona Agura in this sweet new photo – but one key detail is driving fans wild with speculation.

Rebel Wilson’s latest loved-up Instagram post alongside girlfriend Ramona Agura has sparked speculation that the couple might be engaged.

In the sweet photo, the pair can be seen embracing at a friend’s 40th birthday party, with Wilson holding a glass of wine in one hand – and Agura’s behind in the other.

But it was one detail in the photo that caught many fans’ attention – what appeared to be a sparkling diamond ring on Wilson’s engagement finger.

“Do I spot a wedding ring?” one fan asked underneath the post.

“Are you engaged?” asked another. “That ring!”

That’s quite the ring.

They’ve been a visibly smitten couple for months now, but Wilson and Agruma’s public “outing” came amid controversial circumstances, with Wilson revealing she was in her first same-sex relationship after the Sydney Morning Herald privately contacted her asking her to contribute to a story they planned to write about her new romance.

Wilson declined and instead came out via Instagram – which led to a fiery, since-deleted article from SMH columnist Andrew Hornery saying it had been a “big mistake” to contact her before outing her.

As a worldwide backlash exploded over the piece and fans offered their support on social media, Rebel admitted it was “a very hard situation” but that she was “trying to handle it with grace”.

Both Hornery and SMH editor Bevan Shields later apologised for the article and denied they had planned to out Wilson against her will.

Meanwhile, Wilson’s close friend Hugh Sheridan revealed in June that he played matchmaker in pairing the couple with each other.

“I’m a bit of a matchmaker in my spare time, I like to set people up and I’ve got a very good success rate. A few marriages in there,” he boasted.

He said he was inspired to match the two when Wilson confessed to him that she’d never been in love.

“But then I just had this thought that maybe I’m looking in the wrong spot. I think a woman who’s that successful needs a very strong man … But a woman with a woman who’s successful, maybe they’d just lift each other up … Then I thought of Ramona straight away,” he explained.

“I said … Give me a minute … and I told Rebel later on that it’s a girl,” he said, adding that Wilson was willing to give it a shot.

And the rest is history: Wilson and her “Disney Princess” Agruma have been together since at least March, when they attended the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty (but before their relationship was public knowledge).
