B105’s breakfast radio host, Matt Acton, has made a jaw-dropping revelation on air, admitting to having sex in a radio studio during his career.
The confession came during a lively discussion between the B105 morning crew — Stav Davidson, Abby Coleman, and Matt Acton — following a chat about pop star Lily Allen’s revelation of joining the mile-high club with Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher during an eleven-hour trip to Japan in 2009.
The conversation quickly turned to the strangest places the radio hosts had engaged in intimate activities.
While Davidson humorously confessed to having sex in a tree under Brisbane’s iconic Story Bridge, and Coleman admitted to an escapade in the station’s promotional jeep, known as the ‘Black Thunder,’ it was Acton’s bombshell that truly shocked his co-hosts.
“Radio studio club … I’m in it,” Acton confessed, catching the team off guard.
The revelation prompted a flurry of questions from Abby, who was visibly stunned by the admission.
“You’re kidding, when??” she asked, clearly in disbelief.
“I hope not (in this studio). We’ll have to disinfect it.”
Acton quickly clarified that the incident didn’t happen in the current B105 studio at Petrie Terrace, but during his time working at SeaFM on the Sunshine Coast.
He further disclosed that the encounter involved his wife, Esther.
“You’ve got to sign people in when they come in. Bet she got a visitor pass,” Coleman playfully added.
Davidson, not one to be outdone, elaborated on his own unusual tryst, explaining that his ‘tree club’ experience wasn’t in a treehouse but quite literally up a tree near the Story Bridge Hotel. “We climbed a tree, and one thing (led to another),” he recounted.
Coleman’s own story added to the hilarity, as she confessed to her time in the ‘Black Thunder’ club, a nod to the station’s promotional days when the vehicle was used to distribute cold cans of Coke and movie tickets.
“I was in the Black Thunder club,” she admitted, with Acton adding, “Giving out more than icy cold cans of Coke — well, that listener would have been a listener for life.”
This sex confession comes on the heels of B105’s latest triumph.
Stav, Abby, and Matt were crowned Brisbane’s most listened-to breakfast radio show in this week’s radio survey, securing a 15 per cent market share.
This marks the third consecutive survey period that the trio has claimed the title of Brisbane’s most popular breakfast show.
