Hawthorn cult figure Nick Watson and Carlton star Keeley Sherar had kept their relationship under wraps before making their public debut at the Blues’ best and fairest.

Hawthorn cult figure Nick Watson has made his public debut with a leading footy lady.

The star small forward stepped out with Carlton star Keeley Sherar at the Blues’ AFLW best and fairest on Friday night at Crown.

It’s believed the talented couple has been an item for a few months but the romance has been kept under wraps and largely off social media.

Watson, nicknamed ‘the wizard’, kicked 36 goals for the Hawks this season.

Sherar won the Carlton Best and Fairest award last season.

She was all smiles on the blue carpet surrounded by teammates including sisters Sophie and Abbie McKay, with their respective boyfriends.

Carlton had an incredible season making a preliminary final and going down to Brisbane by 35 points.

The Hawks also made the preliminary final, going down to Geelong by 30 points.

North Melbourne won back-to-back AFLW premierships last weekend.

Watson continues to grow his profile having featured regularly of the Nova breakfast program with Lauren Phillips, Jase Hawkins and Clint Stanaway.
