Kim Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend Ray J claims the reality star was complicit in the release of the former couple’s 2007 sex tape.

Kim Kardashian and her “momager” Kris Jenner were complicit in the release of Kardashian’s infamous sex tape, her ex-boyfriend and co-star Ray J has claimed.

In a new interview, Ray J said the 2007 tape wasn’t leaked but rather it was a partnership between him, Kardashian, and Jenner.

“I’ve never leaked anything. I have never leaked a sex tape in my life. It has never been a leak,” Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr, told the Daily Mail.

“It’s always been a deal and a partnership between Kris Jenner and Kim and me, and we’ve always been partners since the beginning of this thing.”

The 41-year-old admitted he encouraged Kardashian to release the tape – known as Kim Kardashian Superstar – after seeing how Paris Hilton and Rick Salomon’s sex tape, One Night In Paris, had benefited Hilton’s career.

Ray J, who dated Kardashian for three years, alleged the reality star had Jenner negotiate with the sex tape’s distributor, Vivid Entertainment.

Ray J has made explosive claims about his infamous sex tape with Kim Kardashian.

While only one tape was made public, Ray J claimed both he and Kardashian signed a contract for three tapes.

“I’ve sat in the shadows for over 14 years, allowing the Kardashians to use my name, to abuse my name, make billions of dollars over a decade-and-a-half talking about a topic I’ve never really spoken about,” Ray J told the Daily Mail.

“Once I pitched the idea to her [Kardashian], just playing around a little bit, that’s when she jumped on the idea, talked to her mum and it was out of my hands from there,” he said.

Claiming he never had the sex tape in his position, Ray J called rumours he leaked the tape “the biggest lie in the industry in the history of entertainment.”

“I never had a single one at my house — she had them at her house,” he told the Daily Mail.

“She’s always had all the tapes in a Nike shoebox under her bed.”

The singer also provided screenshots from his Instagram DMs with Kardashian, where he begged her to stop trying to ruin him.

The lengthy series of messages were sent as episodes of their new reality show The Kardashians aired, in which Kardashian said Ray J was threatening to leak a second video.

Ray J said the situation had left him feeling “suicidal,” particularly as he watched “a whole family create an empire from a lie they’ve created”.

“For the remainder of my life, I’m going to live in my truth and not in the lie that’s been created by Kris Jenner and Kim,” he said.

“I will not let them do this to me anymore.”
