Violent Femmes, Neil Finn, The Roots, MGMT and Vampire Weekend join Falls Festival line up

BANDS including The Roots, Vampire Weekend, Violent Femmes, MGMT plus Neil Finn will join the Falls Festival line up.

VAMPIRE Weekend, Violent Femmes, Neil Finn, MGMT, The Wombats, The Roots and Solange will tour Australia as part of the expanded Falls Festival.

As well as Lorne and Tasmania, this year the Falls will also take place in Byron Bay over the New Year's Period.

Each of the three bills will also include the Cat Empire, Hermitude, Grizzly Bear, Rufus, Flight Facilities, !!!, Big Scary, Gossling, Pond, Tom Odell, Crystal Fighters, Chet Faker, The Preatures, London Grammar and more.

Dates are Lorne from December 28 to January 1, Marion Bay Tasmania from December 29 to January 1 and Byron Bay from December 31 to January 3.

Once again tickets will be allocated by a ballot system. The ballot is open now and closes on August 26 at fallsfestival.com

This year local residents in Tasmania will get a $10 discount on tickets, while a car pass system will be introduced in Lorne and Byron Bay to try and ease traffic congestion heading to and from the sites.
