Vanilla Ice has promised to perform “on ice” for his upcoming shows in London this Christmas — but don’t jump to conclusions.

The rap superstar, who became a household name 26 years ago when his first single, Ice Ice Baby, topped the charts, will be hitting the ice rink for several shows at Alexandra Palace in December.

Fans can’t get enough of the news.

But the American rapper, real name Robert Van Winkle, is no stranger to a pair of skates. He appeared on the US version of Dancing on Ice in 2011 with professional ice skater Katie Stainsby and went on to do touring productions of the show.

He also competed on Dancing with the Stars this season with professional dancer Witney Carson. The pair were eliminated last week, but not before the now 48-year-old star pulled out all the stops for a nostalgic-filled number, dancing the cha-cha to Ice Ice Baby.

The crowd loved it.

Vanilla Ice sold a mega 11 million copies of his debut album, To The Extreme, back in 1990. Ice Ice Baby was the very first single by a rapper to top the American Billboard charts.

Vanilla Ice is back.
