Taylor Swift Sydney: No pass outs for fans at Accor Stadium

Swifties that missed out on a ticket to the Melbourne concerts got the gift of a lifetime - but the Sydney fans won’t be so lucky. See why.

Sydney Swifties won’t be able to benefit from the benevolence of fans leaving early during her four concerts this weekend to use their tickets.

Thousands of fans among the more than 280,000 people who had bought the precious tickets to her three shows at the MCG left early, mostly parents with younger children or others who had seen the songs they wanted to hear and didn’t want to stay for the rest of the show.

Their early check out proved to be a the gift of a lifetime to those desperate Swifties parked outside the venue, listening to the show from the MCG grounds.

The ticketless fans were then able to rescan the used tickets to gain entry to the event and enjoy the rest of the show.

But that was because the MCG had a pass out policy.

Sydney’s Accor Stadium does not and it is understood there will be no opportunity for secondary use of the tickets of fans who decide to quit the three hours and 15 minutes show before the final song.

It comes as Swift and her football beau Travis Kelce will have a few days to enjoy a romantic rendezvous after she ended the first leg of her Eras Tour on Sunday.

Kelce revealed he was “about to go f … in’ venture myself over to an island here soon” on his podcast this week.

And while most American fans assumed the “island” is Australia, he could also have been giving a sneaky tease about where Swift and Kelce will hang out before she opens the Sydney leg of the tour on Friday.

With her private jet on standby in Melbourne, the lovers could be spirited away for a three-hour flight to any of the luxury Whitsunday resort islands accustomed to catering to the privacy needs of the world’s biggest celebrities.

Swift treated herself and her crew to a stay on Hamilton Island in 2015 at the end of her 1989 tour where she also played a Nova Red Room gig for 125 lucky fans.

She relaxed at the ultra-luxe Qualia on the island and could return with Kelce as the resort features an exclusive Beach House shielded from prying eyes even as it offers stunning bush and ocean views.

Other destinations which meet Swift’s desire for a paparazzi-free mini-break on the Great Barrier Reef would be Lizard Island and Bedarra Island.

While the Queensland tropical isles would be a preferred getaway for a couple of Americans escaping the Northern Hemisphere winter, the reopened Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island offers a romantic safe haven for privacy-seeking celebrities.

Swift might consider a more low-key escape with Kelce, one she enjoyed with her mother Andrea in between legs of her Reputation tour in 2018.

The pop star and mum hid out at the Mount Macedon bush retreat owned by the Gudinski family, which has also hosted secret stays by Swift’s good mate Ed Sheeran.

Frontier Touring, owned by the Gudinski family, is promoting the Eras Tour shows.

The pop star and the football champion may decided to stay in Sydney for their reunion before she has to get back to work on Friday at Accor Stadium.

While she has ticked off the ubiquitous tourist traps on previous visits, Kelce has yet to experience the beach walks, harbour cruises and bridge climbs visiting A-listers like to tick off during a Sydney stay.
