Heartbroken Swifties who missed out on tickets to her Australian concerts now have the consolation prize of watching her Eras tour from the comfort of a cinema seat four months before she performs here.
And the tickets are a hell of a lot cheaper than the average non-VIP ticket price for the seven Sydney and Melbourne Eras Tours shows next February at $213.
Tickets to the screenings at Hoyts cinemas which are currently scheduled to run from October 13 to October 27 are $44 for the Lux experience and $24.89 for an adult or $18.13 for a child at the standard show.
The concert film may be a consolation prize for those who weren’t able to secure a ticket in the box office frenzy in June.
Swifties have been savouring the gazillions of videos of the Eras show which have flooded social media since she kicked off the mammoth world tour in the US in March.
There have been 3.6 billion views of Era Tour videos on TikTok alone.
The tour isnât the only thing weâre taking worldwideâ¦â¦.. ð Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters WORLDWIDE on Oct 13! Tickets available now at https://t.co/Oyy6tFmfeV or on your local theaters website! 𩵠pic.twitter.com/rYJUpbHPJd

But it is also likely the unwavering loyalty of some fans may be challenged by her latest move which sees the concert film roll out in cinemas in more than 100 countries including Australia.
It is estimated the Eras Tour tickets sales in Australia grossed about $126 million with pundits predicting the Shake It Off pop superstar will have generated more than $1.5 billion at the box office by the time the tour winds up in Canada in November next year.
The concert film could be viewed as a cash grab by fans who also protested they were being exploited when she drip fed different vinyl editions for pre-orders of her upcoming 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in August.
A mailout from Hoyts announcing the Eras Tour film tickets were on sale also flagged “Attention Swifties - Merch Incoming” but there was no live link as yet to the Taylor Swift official store.
Swift‘s merchandise business generates more millions with limited edition vinyl, cassette and clothing on her website for her tours and albums as well as the t-shirt stalls at each venue, with sales for the American leg of her tour predicted to exceed more than $130 million.
Her midas touch has even extended to current beau, American footballer Travis Kelce whose jersey sales have rocketed up 400 per cent since their new romance was confirmed when she attended a Kansas City Chiefs game last weekend.
I'm an unabashed Taylor Swift fan who would have loved to go to a concert, but The Eras Tour concert film feels less like a favor to fans and more like a cash grab.

But I'll probably go anyway, and I suspect her marketing team knows this. ð
The screenings run up to the day she releases 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on October 27.
The film’s run time is 165 minutes which means it is more of a highlights package which won’t cover the full concert setlist of 44 songs and lasts more than three hours.
It is directed by Sam Wrench, the filmmaker behind concert films by Lizzo and Billie Eilish and produced by one of the Cruel Summer pop mogul’s myriad business arms, Taylor Swift Productions.
