TAYLOR Swift will test her live reputation when she brings her world tour to Australia in October and November next year.
Christmas has come early for Swifties with tickets to her stadium concerts going on sale next week. Swift joins music’s biggest superstars performing in Australia in 2018, kicking off with Foo Fighters in January, then Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Katy Perry, Niall Horan, Robbie Williams and Pink.
She will kick off her Australian tour at the Optus Stadium in Perth on October 19 followed by Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, on October 26, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, on November 2 and The Gabba, Brisbane, on November 6.
There is no concert scheduled for Adelaide, but with plenty of days between gigs and demand for tickets expected to sell out the initial run quickly, fans would be hoping for extra dates to be added to the Australian leg.
Swift played seven concerts here during her 1989 World Tour, which was the highest grossing concert event in 2015, raking in more than $250 million.
Her fortunes will be significantly boosted by the Reputation tour, which kicks off in America in May, heads to the UK in June and then back to the US until October before heading to Australia.
After her sixth studio album reputation topped the charts worldwide on its release purely on download and physical copies after its release on November 10, the record sales-savvy Swift finally put it on streaming services last weekend.
Within hours, the record’s singles including Look What You Made Me Do, Ready For It? Gorgeous and Call It What You Want had amassed half a billion streams.
Swift returned to the concert stage for the first time since her pre-Super Bowl show in February to headline the annual Jingle Ball in Los Angeles.
She was joined onstage by her mate Ed Sheeran to perform their collaboration End Game.
There will be a six ticket limit per customer for the Australian tour.
