STING and Paul Simon are heading to Australia on a double-bill that will see the two music greats on stage together, sharing bands and singing each other’s songs.
The old friends, who have known each other for decades and lived in the same New York apartment block for more than 20 years, will tour wineries and arenas around the country next February with their successful On Stage Together show.
NO EASY RIDE: Sting cuts his kids out of his will
Sting, 62, and Simon, 72, earned rave reviews for the US leg of the tour this year, which was conceived as “an experiment” after the pair first played together at a New York charity event in 2013.
Both Simon and Sting are regular visitors to Australia.
For years, they shunned the bands that first made them famous but have more recently come to embrace the music they made with them, returning for reunion tours.
