Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has faced backlash after sharing his Spotify Wrapped list with the nation.
The global streaming giant releases the end-of-year campaign where users see what dominated their playlists in the 12-month period, typically divided into categories such as the Top Tracks, Top Artists and Top Genres.
Mr Albanese took to X on Thursday morning to share his own list, which showed his Top Songs as Australia by G Flip, Letting Go by Angie McMahon, Still Have Room by Hockey Dad, Pedestal by Lime Cordiale and Get Me Out by King Stingray.
However, hundreds took to the prime minister's comment section to slam the leader for his tone deaf post.
“No one cares do your job,” one wrote.
Another said: “Australians living in tents cannot afford Spotify. So f**k off.”
With a third agreeing: “No one gives a frig what’s on your Spotify list. What they want to hear is what you are actually doing to bring the cost of living issues down and what you are doing with the housing affordability crisis.”

Spotify Wrapped released an insight into what the rest of the country and the world tuned into in 2024.
It came as no surprise that Taylor Swift was Australia’s most streamed artist, The Wiggles as our most streamed local artist, Joe Rogan as our top podcaster, and Prince Harry The Duke of Sussex as our most listened to author.
The Shake It Off singer, who brought her Eras Tour Down Under in February, topped Australia’s Spotify charts for the second year in a row.
Country music continued to gain in popularity, with American singer Zach Bryan our third most-streamed artist, a slight rise from last year, when fellow American country performer Morgan Wallen sat at fifth.
Wallen’s album One Thing At A Time, which was Australia’s most-streamed albums last year, remained in high rotation, coming in at number five in 2024.
Benson Boone’s Beautiful Things was our most streamed track, and Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso came in second.
Australian legends The Wiggles again topped the chart as our most streamed local artist, followed by The Kid LAROI.
The list of top five local artists revealed we listened to a variety of Aussie artists from different eras and genres, although there was little change from last year.
The only change was RÜFÜS DU SOL, who dislodged another dance/electronic performer, Flume.
The 2013 hit Riptide by Vance Joy was again Australia’s most streamed local artist song, and Stumblin’ In by CYRIL was second.
Three out of the five top songs were produced in 2023, and there was another old hit alongside Riptide, AC/DC’s 1980 song You Shook Me All Night Long.
Australia’s most streamed album was Taylor Swift’s THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT: THE ANTHOLOGY, after which was Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet.
The Joe Rogan Experience was again our top podcast, followed by The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett.
Australia had four of the same top podcasts as last year, although Bartlett’s podcast pushed out The Inspired Unemployed.
Spare by Prince Harry The Duke of Sussex was Australia’s most popular audiobook, then A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass.
