P!NK will rock into Australian arenas with her Beautiful Trauma tour in July and August next year.
There will undoubtedly be some not-so-beautiful trauma for her hundreds of thousands of fans when tickets go on sale for the 14 concerts now revealed.
The What About Us singer holds the box office record for a female artist with more than 600,000 tickets so on her 2013 The Truth About Love tour.
P!nk will kick off her challenge to beat that record with the Beautiful Trauma tour at the Perth Arena on July 3 and 4.
She then takes her live juggernaut to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on July 10 and 11, Melbourne’s Rod Lave Arena on July 16, 17, 19 and 20, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on August 3, 4, 6 and 7 and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on August 14 and 15.
There will be a pre-sale for Telstra customers from October 16, with general sale on October 20. There is a limit of six tickets per customer.
Rather than take her show into stadiums like Taylor Swift, Adele, Ed Sheeran and her pop star peers, P!nk preferred the relative intimacy of the arenas she has always played in Australia to get up close and personal with her fans.
While there are gaps in her schedule to suggest other concerts will be added, her promoter Live Nation warned the tour could not be extended with P!nk heading to New Zealand for her first concert there on September 1.
And with her husband Carey Hart and their children six-year-old Willow and nine-month-old Jameson joining her on the road, the So What superstar will be taking breaks to enjoy family time.
“With a limited window of time in her global schedule to visit Australia, the number of shows is sure to be limited. Fans are urged not to wait to secure tickets,” the tour announcement stated.
She also announced a 40-date North American arena tour last week which will run from March to June.
Beautiful Trauma will be released on Friday having already topped the pre-order charts back in August, two months before its release.
Its first single What About Us debuted at No.1 and has reached platinum sales while the title track debuted at No.27 this week.
A third single Whatever You Want dropped last week and has reached No.13 on iTunes.
Those songs will undoubtedly feature in her 2018 concert setlist, alongside an enviable catalogue of other chart toppers and fan favourites including Raise Your Glass, So What, Get The Party Started, Just Like A Pill, Try, Who Knew, Just Like Fire, U + Ur Hand, F..... Perfect, Funhouse, Just Give Me Reason...it’s a long list.
And she plays covers with Me and Bobby McGee a staple for well over a decade.
