The One Direction spliff scandal doesn’t appear to have dented the British boy band’s popularity in Australia with extra shows already added to their 2015 tour.
There was such huge demand for the Telstra Thanks pre-sale yesterday that the local promoter added another concert at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium on February 8 and at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium on February 15.
General tickets go on sale from 4pm on Saturday, ranging from $99.90 for C Reserve through to $559 for the catwalk Package which gets you a reserved seat ticket close to the main stage and B stage, a 1D wrist watch with pouch, a laminate card and lanyard, food and drink before the show and other extras.

Some commentators suggested that footage of Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik allegedly smoking a joint and using drug-related slang on the way to a concert in Peru late last month could dent their popularity, particularly with the parents of their young fans.
But it appears 1D fever remains high with the demand for pre-sale tickets on Thursday eclipsing all other tours in recent years.
Their On The Road Again concerts in Australia will follow this year’s Where Are We Tour which kicked off in South America last month and has continued onto Europe.
There have been suggestions the boy band could face immigration hassles when they head to America and be refused entry as Nigella Lawson experienced after she admitted to cocaine use.
Tomlinson and Malik have made no comment in the wake of the video and certainly have not admitted to drug use.
“This matter is in the hands of our lawyers,” a band representative was quoted as saying in the UK.
The On The Road Again tour kicks off in Sydney on February 7 and finishes in Perth on February 20.
