MADONNA has started rehearsals for tomorrow night’s mysterious Tears of a Clown show.
The fan-only event is a global one-off, part of the singer making up for her last five tours bypassing Australia.
Madonna has promised to showcase her new obsession — doing stand up comedy — as well as storytelling and music at the event.
Tears of a Clown takes place at Melbourne’s intimate Forum theatre tomorrow night, which holds around 1500 punters.
However sources say huge production including a catwalk and circus-style entertainment will see the capacity become even smaller.

Fans could only win tickets via Madonna’s fan club or through Rebel Heart tour sponsor Telstra.
Names have been printed on tickets to stop the money-can’t-buy tickets being scalped.
Eager eyed fans spotted rehearsals taking place in Hisense Arena last night, with perfectionist Madonna well known for using downtime for rehearsals.
Madonna has begun posting photos of her dressed as a clown on her social media, as well as a video of her riding a tiny bicycle in clown shoes. Sources say the video was shot in New Zealand not Melbourne.
One clown photo was captioned “All the world loves a clown ... a small gift for Australia for being so patient.”
Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary yesterday posted a picture from a day trip to the Mornington Peninsula, after asking fans for travel tips upon arrival in Melbourne on Monday.
Madonna fans are also monitoring her hair hairstylist Andy Lecompte and personal chef Jaime.

Doors for the Tears of a Clown show open at 8.30pm however Madonna is no stranger to late arrival on stage.
She will perform at Rod Laver Arena on Saturday and Sunday before moving to Brisbane and Sydney next week, where the Rebel Heart world tour will end.
