KESHA promised to not back down from her legal battle with producer Dr. Luke during a concert in Brooklyn on Thursday.
The “Warrior” singer, 29, told her audience at Warsaw, “I honestly don’t know if I would have made it the past few years without you guys. Some of you may know I’m in a lawsuit. Thank you for standing by me.” She added, “I think that there’s some people that were thinking I’ll just sit around waiting to die. That somebody f — ed with the wrong woman!”
Kesha has been embroiled in a battle against Dr. Luke since October 2014, alleging that his emotional and sexual abuse led her to develop an eating disorder and required her to go to rehab. Dr. Luke vehemently denied all the accusations and has not been charged with any crime.
Kesha dropped her case against Dr. Luke in California in August, but is continuing her fight in New York.
A concertgoer told Page Six, “After her first couple of songs, we all literally cheered for her for 20 minutes straight.”
And a source close to the singer told us, “She’s doing great,” adding that the fan support moved her. “The whole place was vibrating with ‘Free Kesha.’”
Kesha gushed to the audience, “I could not do this without you, so f — ing thank you. I can’t share my new music with you. Keep praying, someday it will come. I can’t wait for that.”
Later, Kesha urged, “No one can own you. Because to truly own you means to own your happiness. No one can own your f — ing happiness. Promise me you will never let them take that from you. Ain’t nobody got time for hate. Always have hope in your heart. I do!”
